From the warmth of my bed I can see her, she’s lying on her side resting from the day before. Every morning it’s the same. I get dressed and walk over to make sure she’s good shape as a precaution. She seems to be doing well, so I sit her up and caress her smooth skin, a glimmering brown. She’s not like the rest. I asked for her a few months ago all the way from Uruguay and ever since, I have been fond of her look and taste. After heating up some water, I grab her and fill her up half way through before stopping. As always, I get her a bit wet before proceeding again. After eagerly waiting, I put the hot water in and insert the bombilla. Rough at first, but the taste always clears up after a few sips. And that’s how it is. I take sip after sip savoring the earthiness and nervy nuttiness. At anytime or place, and in my hand, she’s Like a faithful partner, she’s always there, and without having to say anything, her company alone makes things better. It perhaps may be strange for many to understand this relation but trust me, there’s nothing like it.
